My parents wanted me to take Engineering and I was also preparing for JEE as everyone around me. I felt disconnected with JEE and felt very low while attempting and that was when my teacher suggested me to seek career guidance. I met Srishti mam and she helped in understanding myself better. I study at The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon, and I used to feel a lot of pressure seeing everyone around me being so sorted. I, on the other hand, had no idea what I wanted to do, which made me really anxious. Srishti Mam really helped me break this down step by step. The sessions felt very comfortable—I could openly talk about my confusion without feeling judged. That really made a difference. We approached Career Monk for our son studying in Modern School, Barakhamba Road, who was preparing for engineering just because “everyone does it.” Deep down, he wasn’t interested, but he didn’t have the confidence to say it. Through counselling, it became clear that his real interest was in business and entrepreneurship. My daughter studies at Vasant Valley School, and although she was doing well academically, she had zero motivation when it came to thinking about careers.
